The temple is inspired from the Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia and Rameshwaram and Minakashi Temples in India. The temple will comprise 18 homes for various Hindu gods with a focus on Lord Ram and Sita. The plan is spearheaded by Acharya Kishore Kunal.
It is located at a distance of 60 km from Vaishali and at a distance of 120 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar. Its exact location is at Janaki Nagar near Kesaria in North Bihar. It will be spread over an area of 200 acres at Bahuara-Kathwalia villages on Kesariya-Chakia road in East Champaran district. It will be 2800 feet in length, 1400 ft in width and 405 ft in height.
Like South-East Asian temples it has layers instead of floors and in the first layer, one will have to walk more than a km. to see four temples with shikhars (spires) in four corners and the marvels of the Ramayan through electronic gadgets. In the last layer, the main Rama temple consisting of Rama, Sita, Lava, Kusha and Valmiki will be at a height of 66 ft. with will have a sitting capacity for 20 thousand devotees at one time. In all, there will be 18 temples with high spires. The Shiv temple will comprise the largest Saiva-Linga in the world and it will be installed in such a fashion that devotees will have no difficulty in offering water, milk, etc. to the great deity.
