Purushotama Perumal Temple is located in Thirunangur, a village in the outskirts of Sirkazhi in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Purushottaman and his consort Lakshmi as Purushottama Nayagi.

Accompanied by Mothers Sridevi and Bhoodevi, Lord Purushothaman appears in a standing posture facing east.

Mother Purushothama Nayaki in a sitting position blesses devotees from Her own shrine in the southwest side of the temple.

Shrines of Sri Andal, Lord Rama with Mother Sita and Sri Lakshmana, Sri Anjaneya, Nammazhwar, Udayavar Sri Ramanuja, Senai Mudaliar are in the inner prakara.

Sages Upamanyu and Vyakrapada had the darshan of the Lord in this temple.

The temple has three Anjaneya shrines.  In the Sri Rama shrine, He appears in a worshipping position with hands folded and mouth closed.

Sage Vyakrapada came to this temple with his child Upamanyu, placed him at the entrance of the temple, and went to pick flowers for the Lord.  The child began to cry for food, which fell on the ears of the Lord who was reclining in the ocean of milk .  He immediately created a ocean of milk in this place.  Mother Purushothama Nayaki fed the child with the milk.
