- Sthala PuranIn this temple, the Thadikara swami Siddhar is worshiped as an abomination. Thadikara Swami by the real name of Viswanathan was born in Sivakasi. He attained salvation at the age of twenty-five. Then until the age of seventy-five he performed many miracles by doing sivathondu. He was passed away on chithra Pournami at the age of seventy-five. The temple was brought under the control of the Hindu religes and charitable Endovement Department this 2001 year. The temple is functioning well under the ourukala pooja program of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The last consecration of the temple took place in February of the year2002.
