        Sthala Puran

During rainy season, Rao Jagat Singhji used to visit Rangbadi with his queens for his pleasure trip. One day the queen became seriously ill. At that time, a Sadhu lived here, he with his Tantrik powers and medicinal skill made the queen healthy and the disease was fully controlled. At the suggestion of this Sadhu, Rao Jagat Singhji built this temple of Balaji Maharaj.

At Dushahra which is a day commemorating the victory of Ram over Rawan, a big fair is held. The ex- Maharaja of Kota with his ceremonial procession visits the Rangbadi Balaji and then performs the Rawan vadh ceremony.
