- FestivalsChaitra NavratriThe Yatra celebration of Adimaya Shakti Malganga Mata begins on Chaturdashi in the month of Chaitra. On this day, haldi ceremony of devi is celebrated in the presence of thousands of Suvasinis. The next day, on the full moon day, Malganga decorates the mother's stick and takes out a procession. These sticks, which are higher than the temple, are erected in front of the temple. Devotees fast for 9 days from this day till Navami. Puranapoli meals are served to Suvasini (Married women) at home. During these 9 days, vegetarianism is observed in the entire village. Gram Swachhta Abhiyan is implemented every morning for 3 days. The farmers of the village enthusiastically participate in the procession by stopping the work. During the Yatra festival, electric lighting is provided on the 85 feet marble temple. In the evening there is a program of Mahaprasada for all the devotees. At 9 pm, there was a procession of images of Goddess, sticks and palanquins. The procession includes Mana sticks and palanquins from Newase, Chincholi, Dholwad, Darewadi, Bhingar, Belapur and Nagar. Devotees rejoice at the chanting of 'Malganga Mate Ki Jai', chanting Bhandara and Revada. The procession stops at the temple after midnight. The next day, at 7 am on the ninth, a grand procession of Malganga Mother Ghagari leaves... Apart from Maharashtra, lakhs of devotees from Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and other states throng to visit Ghagari. It is one of the grandest pilgrimages in Maharashtra.Navratri
