In princely times, a large canopy of the lake was planted in the fence. Where Maharaja Brijendra Singh reached early and took the first bath and worshiped wearing Pitambari. Special arrangements were made to worship the Maharaja in the temple. There was complete arrangement for police etc. The Maharaja sat in the temple premises and worshiped the goddess. At the same time, the devotees of the Goddess, known as Bhopa, performed their dance and singing in the temple premises.
Like other goddesses of the country, the Maharaja used to offer sacrifices and reward those indulgences. A separate chamber was built behind the canopy. There was a simple lunch in it. After that, singers from rural areas performed bhajans. After performing the evening arti, the Maharaja used to return to Bharatpur in his palace. Thus by going to the fair, their public relations increased and rituals were also carried out.
