500 years ago Lord Krishna came as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (or Lord Gauranga). He appeared as a devotee of Krishna (Himself) to reawaken all the conditioned souls by the method of harinama-sankirtana. He would go with His followers into the streets and chant the names of Krishna so that peoples suffering could be ended, and they could take to the real activity, the spiritual activity, of worshiping and serving the Supreme Lord.
In 1997, The President of ISKCON - Hare Krishna Hill, Bangalore Declared that his centre was no longer a branch of ISKCON India', which he calls "ISKCON Mumbai". ISKCON Juhu, Mumbai is the Legal Headquarters of all 120+ ISKCON Branches in India. After which almost all ISKCON Devotees were "Temple-Less". Hence the devotees, leaded by Narahari Das, rented the temple property in Seshadripuram. The Deities were installed in the year 2000, By His Holiness Jayapataka Swami.
Soon afterward, The Congregation started expanding and hence, ISKCON Purchased Land in South Bangalore. Narahari Das's Management had decided to go and work on the temple there. Hence Anukul Keshav Das formed a new committee in the year 2011.
In the year 2013, ISKCON Started Negotiating deals with landowners behind the current temple property in Seshadripuram. In January 2014, an agreement was signed between ISKCON and the landowners. ISKCON has proposed to build "The Palace Temple of Lord Jagannath" in this Property.
