        Sthala Puran

In the Gumla district of Jharkhand, there is a meditation place of Lord Parashuram. This place is about 150 km from Ranchi. According to mythology,  Lord Parashuram worshiped Lord Shiva here. It was here that he buried his parshu ie furs in the ground.

The upper shape of this furs resembles that of some trident. This is the reason that devotees come here to worship this Farsa.

At the same time, this temple of Shiva Shankar is known as Tanginath Dham. It is said that Lord Shiva resides in Tanginath Dham.

It is believed that Maharishi Parshuram had buried his ax. Local people also worship it as Trishul.

The surprising thing is that there is never a war in it. Sun, shade, rain under the open sky - this Trishul does not have any effect. This tribal dominated area is completely affected by extremism. In such a situation, crowds of Shiv devotees throng here mostly on the day of Sawan and Mahashivratri.

Treta Yug, when Lord Shri Ram broke the bow of Shiva in the Swayamvara of Sita Mata held in Janakpur, Lord Parshuram reached there and became very angry. During this, he had a long debate with Laxman and in the meantime when Parashurama came to know that Lord Shri Ram himself is Narayan, he felt very self-sacrificed.

In shame, he left from there and came to a mountain range amidst the dense forests to repent. Here he started worshiping after establishing Lord Shiva. In the street, he burnt his ax, that is, the furs.

The ancient temple of Tanginath Dham, which is also associated with Shani Dev, has collapsed due to lack of maintenance and the entire area has been transformed into ruins, but even today, the ancient Shivling is scattered in this hill. The artworks present here - the carvings and the textures here tell the story of Devkal.

Also, there are many such sources, which lead to the Treta Yuga. Well there is another story too. It is said that Shiva belonged to the ancient castes of this region. For any crime of Shani Dev, Shiva threw a trident and attacked him, then he got hit on the top of this hill. But its front part remained above the ground. While no one knows how much Trishul is buried under the ground.
