        Sthala Puran

Formerly the Pandavas were living in the Vadapuram, now known as Tarapuram, in the southern part of the Kanchi Mantrai Noyil. Duryodhan, the eldest of the honorees who knew this, was attracted to the cows of Viratan. Knowing this, Archana and others turned around and returned the cows. It was first named Tirupur.
It is also special to bring you here. Above all, the Sri Vishweshwaraswamy Temple is devoted to the people of the region. The temple was built during the reign of King Kulothungan Senkannan. The temple was built in 1936 and 1937 by the people of the town.

The Mahakandapam, Rajagopuram and Mrsumali were built by the Mahiyawanam Estates of Devakottai. The rare sculptures in the temple`s grand hues are clearly visible to us. The sculptures are so clear that the living statues are real.

        Galvanic art
It is a temple of magnificent sculptures. An inscription of the Navagraha zodiac on the roof of the Swami shrine and the Maha MandapamThe shape of the lotus flower is a marvelous sculpture. The structure of the temple is remarkable. It is based on the Somaskanda Rupalayam system. This is the structure of Yaten, first the Swami shrine, the middle of the Subramaniyar shrine, and finally the Ambal Shrine. After this, the interior glass mirror is designed to be very polished. Atoms run, cosmos are running. Shouldn`t the Lord of the Universe be a dancer? That is why the Kanakasabha is the place where the idol of Nataraja is danced here Lord Ananda dances. We should worship Ananda Murthy to be happy. It is clear that he is always happy with dancing. This joyful dance of the Lord, the Smrutti of God, the Sththi. To destroy, entertain, suppress, destroy Masking best illustrates the five functions of grace.
