1. Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Bali, Indonesia. Height – 400 feet.
Garuda Visnu Kencana statue (also known as GWK statue) is a 122-meter tall statue located in Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bali, Indonesia. It was designed by Nyoman Nuarta and inaugurated in September 2018. The total height of the monument, including the 46-meter base pedestal, is 122 m (400 ft). The statue was designed to be Indonesia’s tallest statue and is inspired by an event that finds its roots in Hinduism about Garuda’s search for Amrita, the elixir of life. According to this story, Garuda agreed to be ridden by Vishnu in return for the right to use the elixir to liberate his enslaved mother.
The Statue of Belief or Vishwas Swaroopam is a statue of the Hindu god Shiva constructed at Nathdwara in Rajasthan, India. At the time of its opening on 29 October 2022, it was the tallest statue in the World. Presently the Statue of Belief is the fourth tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the World.
3. The Statue of Equality – Murti of Saint Ramanujacharya Ji, Hyderabad. Height – 216 feet
The Statue of Equality also referred to as the Ramanuja statue, is a statue of the 11th-century vaishnavaite Ramanuja, located on the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal, Ranga Reddy district in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The World’s tallest Murti of Bhagwan Hanuman. Located on the banks of the river Vamsadhara in Madapam, Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, the Murti rises upto a massive height of 171 feet.
5. Statue of Bhagavan Hanuman located at Manav Bharti University, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Height – 155 feet
A 155 ft. tall Lord Hanuman Statue has been constructed at the top of a hillock in the standing posture, as per the vision and concept of Dr. Rajkumar Rana of Manav Bharti Foundation and Sculptor Mr. Naresh Kumawat. There is a Gada in one hand of Hanumanji. The statue is made of reinforced cement concrete with a design life of 100 years.
The main elements of creating this monument are architectural aspects and aesthetics of Lord Hanuman in the desired expressions by the sculptor, structural engineering and design of the main frame supporting the external shell, the design of the shell itself, site geology and slope stability, a resourceful construction agency with lots of rich experience and capabilities, a well-defined construction methodology for foundations, main load resisting frame, external shall skin and finally the statue organ shapes.
The Muthumalai Murugan statue was constructed by a trust at Puthiragoundanpalayam near Attur. The 146-ft statue is taller than the Pathumalai Murugan statue (140 ft height) in Malaysia. The sculptor of this statue is Thiruvarur Thiyagarajan. He also sculpted the Malaysia Pathumalai statue in 2006.
7. Kailashnath Mahadev Statue in Sanga, Nepal. Height – 143 feet
Kailashnath Mahadev Statue is the second tallest Shiva statue in the world. It is currently the fifth tallest Hindu Devta statue. It is situated in Sanga, Kavrepalanchok District in Nepal, about 20km from Kathmandu. The statue is 143 feet (43.5m) in height and was made using copper, zinc, concrete, and steel.
8. Statue of Vaishno Devi, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Height – 141 feet
The Maa Vaishno Devi Ashram was established in Vrindavan on 22nd May 2010 on the premises of Mathura, Lord Krishna’s birthplace. The inauguration function was organised grandly. The organisers of this Ashram had in mind right from the beginning to facilitate millions of devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi at Katra near Jammu. The devotees experienced difficulties in making their pilgrimage to Katra as the number of devotees was increasing every year in leaps and bounds. As a result of this thinking, the Maa Vaishno Devi Ashram at Vrindavan announced the construction and unveiling of the tallest Maa Vaishno Devi statue in December 2010.
9. Bhagwan Murugan Murti at the entrance of Batu Caves, Malaysia. Height – 140 feet.
Batu Caves Murugan Statue is the tallest statue of a Hindu Dev in Malaysia and the third tallest statue of a Hindu Dev outside India, after Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue in Indonesia and Kailashnath Mahadev Statue in Nepal. It is also the tallest statue in Malaysia at 42.7 metres (140 ft) in height.
Paritala Anjaneya Temple is a temple residing a statue of Bhagavan Hanuman. The status of this statue is the second tallest one dedicated to Bhagavan Hanuman in the world has been replaced by another statue located at Manav Bharti University, Solan, with a height of 155 ft and 2 inches. The current record is held by the statue in Madapam, Srikakulam district on the banks of the river Vamsadhara in North Andhra (171 ft).
